Completely awesome & SPICY! I had the carne tacos. I got in from Colorado just before they closed. They were wonderful! The ladies were very kind & the customer service was like family.

I went to this place for the first time today with a discount coupon that I had purchased in the spring that DIDN'T HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE as was written on the coupon. Spend five dollars and get ten dollars worth of food. The owner (I think) said they hadn't excepted these coupons since the first of the year. Actually she said a couple of months first and then changed her story. She said that she told the company to stop the ad. Regardless, I spent my money on the coupon, so the coupon should be valid. See above for expiration date. All the coupons that were paid for should be accepted. If you're not willing to accept all coupons that were purchased don't ever sign up for a coupon. This place STOLE money from me. I've been in the food business for over thirty years so I know all about it. BAD BUSINESS! So the first time will be the last. I've been eating at taqueria's for a long time. Asi-Asi.

Great food truck!!! The carnitas tacos were super full of roasted pork and then you put on your own toppings. Wow!!! Very nice service as well.

To the people of Santa Fe who haven't tried these carnitas tacos: get your kale eating, yoga doing, crystal loving ass over there and treat your heart to some real pork candy. Make sure to squeeze a few pieces of lime onto each taco and cover each one in the creamy green sauce, onions and cilantro. Napkins are hiding above the window.

The Carnitas tacos are without question the best I have ever had. You get 4 huge tacos for like $7.50. I can only eat 2. Luis is a great host! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. You will not be dissapointed!

This place brings me back to home! This is Mexican food not to be confused with New Mexican, but no worries you can still get some green chile if you like. Wish they could open a small restaurant, but I'll take what I can get. The whole menu is good!

Wow. I've been hearing about this food truck for YEARS, but never took it all that seriously... I think it is the location being a little difficult, but today I must change my mind... Somehow my friend Joseph managed to talk the owner of El Chile Toreado to make us breakfast burritos to go, AFTER THE 10:30 cut off time for breakfast, and literally minutes before the truck was going to shut down for the day... An AMAZING breakfast burrito! Spicy hot, and they must heat up the flour tortilla with a little bit of butter because it was crispy, but just the right kind of crispy, and totally different than most of the other mexican food places and trucks in the rest of the city. I ate half of mine for lunch and half on it for a pre-dinner snack and was totally happy and content with it. I'll be back, but I must urge the owner to keep serving breakfast burritos all day in the future. With food this good, denying other people the chance to try what I experienced is almost criminal!

The best breakfast burrito stand you'll find--Cordova Road within a few steps of the Roadrunner stop. In warmer weather, the smell is heavenly. Be warned: the burritos are huge. But they're worth every hot, spicy bite. Try bacon plus sausage, masterfully prepared on the spot. Luis Medina is a hard-working man. I've nominated his stand in both the Santa Fe Reporter's "Best of..." and the Department of Tourism's "Breakfast Burrito Byway." Mmm...

I'm never sure which is better. Is it the incredibly warm and friendly conversation you have with Luis or the cosmic, conscious-expanding artisan food El Chile Toreado serves? Either way, hands down, without a doubt, the best tacos in the galaxy are available at El Chile Toreado. The masterfully prepared meats, the melange of bold Mexican spices all coalesce into quantum magic for your mouth. Do not miss this singularly delicious food spaceship when in Santa Fe. And don't forget your orange soda.

This place makes the best burrito I've had in Santa Fe. Their spicy chicken is probably my favorite. The tortillas are always fresh, and the chile is nice and hot. The employees are also very friendly. Great place to get some lunch. There is often a group of people waiting, but it never takes long to get food.

The best burrito I had in New Mexico. Sure they aren't as big honkin' ones we have over here on the East Coast, but what these little guys don't have in size they more than make up for with absolutely superb flavor, authenticity, and freshness. I only wish I could work my way down the small menu to try everything this place makes. I only had the chance to have the carnitas burrito and it was HEAVENLY. Be sure to get whatever you order with the mix of red and green chili sauces (a.k.a Christmas). Both are excellent in their own right, but together is a little heaven on earth.

Mexican food with great quality, at a cute little shack with a very clean interior.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
